Patrick Pichette, who worked for Googe as Cheif Financial Officer, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board by Twitter. Patrick Replaces Omid Kordestani, who will stay forth as a director. Pichette has served a tenure of 7 years as Google's CFO from 2008-2015 and is also a general partner with Inovia Capital, which is a Canadian venture capital firm.

In a statement, Pichette mentioned, "commitment to good governance" and described it as evolving the company's governance structure "in line with best practices".
