News: Walmart shortens working hours to fight coronavirus

The largest retailer in the U.S.— Walmart—has shortened the working hours of its employees further as a measure to stop the spread of deadly coronavirus amongst its workers. The retail giant has reported making the second adjustment in the working hours in just one week, said the company's officials.

The shortened working hours is seen as an advantage for the store workers to clean the shop and change stocks overnight. Walmart is also shuttering its automobile stores temporarily, and its employees will further staff the retail stores in restocking and cleaning overnight. Walmart generates most of its revenue from groceries amongst its other stores in the U.S.
