Employees need to get along to be able to function and do the required work. This does not mean they need to love each other or even like each other, but they must know how to co-exist. Managers and supervisor need to know how to use conflict resolution tools, to run individual meetings with warring employees, then know how to bring both employees together to facilitate a meeting that creates ground rules for their future success.

The second half of this webinar focuses on how to manage teams and reduce team conflict, using the same concept of ground rules. Teams need ground rules on how they will run meetings, communicate between each other, communicate with other teams or departments, have expectations of their bosses, and meet the expectations of their bosses.


Conflicts at work are distracting, time-consuming and expensive. Managers and supervisor need tools that work to help keep their people committed, focused, results-oriented, and not get distracted by interpersonal battles.This webinar teaches those tools.

Dr. Steve Albrecht is a keynote speaker at Ijona Skills and he is a trainer, speaker, author, and consultant, Dr. Steve Albrecht is internationally known for his expertise in high-risk HR issues. He specializes in threat assessment, threat management, Threat Assessment Team training, site security surveys, workplace and school violence awareness, and crisis response programs for private-sector firms, aerospace, utilities, healthcare, municipal government, library systems, banks; K-12 schools, and community colleges and universities. 
He provides consulting, employee coaching, and training seminars in leadership, supervision, coaching, safety and security, workplace violence prevention, harassment prevention, diversity, substance abuse, team building, conflict resolution, ethics, critical thinking, customer service, and stress management.
In 1994, Dr. Albrecht co-wrote Ticking Bombs: Defusing Violence in the Workplace, one of the first business books on workplace violence. The book featured his ground-breaking prison interview with convicted workplace double murderer, Robert Mack. Besides his work as a conference presenter and keynote speaker, he appears in the media as a source on workplace violence, security, and crime. His 18 books include Library Security; Tough Training Topics; Added Value Negotiating; Service, Service, Service!; and Fear and Violence on the Job.
In 1999, Steve retired from the San Diego Police Department, where he had worked since 1984, both as a full-time officer and later as a reserve sergeant, reserve training officer, and a domestic violence investigator. He has written six books on police officer safety and tactics.
He holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration (D.B.A.), an M.A. in Security Management, a B.A. in English, and a B.S. in Psychology. He has been a trainer for 31 years and is certified in human resources, security management, employee coaching, and threat assessment. He holds the designation "Certified Threat Manager" (CTM) from the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP). He is the past president of the San Diego ATAP chapter and the current Vice President of the Colorado ATAP Chapter.
