Matthew Cain is an experienced human resources professional with over 10 years of experience in human resources management and recruiting. He is a freelance consultant and advisor, and is very active in both the national chapter of SHRM, along with his local chapter as well. He was elected to the board of directors, and served as the diversity director for his local chapter in 2019. With functional, and leadership experience in both the non-profit and for profit sectors, he specializes in building and revising benefit programs. He began his career in human resources working retail, before later moving to the medical field, and working in a recruitment role, for the University of South Alabama’s Medical Center. From there he moved into management working for a continuing care facility, and was able to build an employee benefit program, reducing turnover by 36% annually. In 2016 he began to build a client base advising in the areas of diversity, compliance, employee benefits, talent acquisition, policy development, and performance management. Matthew received his undergraduate degree from Troy University in 2013. He has has specialized training in multiple HRIS systems, including fast track training for ICIMS.
