Overview

Leaders who understand their own emotions and those of others build trust, reduce misunderstanding and handle conflict with less disruption. This 60-minute emotional intelligence for leadership webinar starts with working definitions and explains how emotional IQ differs from intellectual IQ.

You'll break down the four components, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and social interaction, and learn four techniques for raising emotional intelligence: mindfulness, feedback, stress management and empathy. You'll also review signs of emotional intelligence and ways to practice it.

The session links emotional intelligence to workplace culture and productivity, and shows how trauma-informed leadership practices can increase safety and reduce harm at work.

Why attend: People are central to every organization's success, and leaders who lack emotional intelligence can create toxic, unsafe cultures that hold everyone back. The session cites studies linking higher emotional intelligence with higher earnings and stronger revenue performance, and notes that Millennials and Gen Z place more weight on emotional health and psychological safety. If communication, performance or motivation on your team is a concern, this webinar helps you see how your emotional intelligence affects the people you lead.
